Meet the Team

Angela brings more than 30 years of experience and expertise in the accounting industry, contributing significantly to the business support team. She specialises in providing the highest level of corporate secretarial services for Smith Feutrill’s clients.

Away from the office, Angela is a keen lawn bowler who enjoys a good book, travelling, and spending quality time with her family.

Angus, a former Chartered Accountant with five years’ experience in family offices and Big 4 firms, specialises in group tax structures, SMSFs, and wealth transition strategies. Now a Financial Adviser, he helps clients build and protect wealth through tailored structures, finance solutions, and asset selection.

Outside of work, Angus is active with the Melbourne University Boat Club and enjoys family time.

Ashlee joined Smith Feutrill in 2017 while completing her Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting at RMIT University, with plans to further her career by pursuing the CA program.

A dedicated dog lover, Ashlee adores Golden Retrievers and spends her free time with her puppy, Mia, when she’s not in the office or focusing on her studies.

Born in Cebu, Philippines, and fluent in Bisaya, Carla moved to Australia at the age of 10 and has called it home ever since. She began her career in the accounting industry in 2018, starting as a Receptionist. She has since embraced the opportunity to grow and adapt, transitioning into Client Services/ Corporate Secretarial where she’s discovered a genuine passion for supporting clients and building lasting relationships.

Outside of work, Carla enjoy spending quality time with her partner and their toy cavoodle dog, Louie. She’s always up for new adventures and loves making memories with family and friends. As a creative outlet, she also performs cover songs at local bars and restaurants – a hobby that keeps her love for music alive

Joining the Smith Feutrill team in November 2023, Charlie brings four years of public practice experience. He holds a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from RMIT and is currently pursuing his CA degree.

A passionate sports fan, Charlie supports Arsenal and Hawthorn, plays football for the Old Trinity Grammarians, and also enjoys swimming and playing the guitar.

Connor joined Smith Feutrill in January 2025. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in economics with a minor in accounting at Monash University. Away from work Connor enjoys maximising his time outdoors through playing football at Old Carey, as well as camping down the coast.

Damien joined Smith Feutrill in 2012 and became a Chartered Accountant in 2017, progressing to manager in 2020. He works with clients across industries such as property development, manufacturing, healthcare, and entertainment, offering expertise in tax structuring, asset protection, cash flow management, and profit improvement.

Outside of work, Damien enjoys home renovations and spending time with his partner.

Daniel joined the Smith Feutrill team in 2019. After completing his Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Management, he went on to complete his Chartered Accountancy in 2022. Priding himself on building lasting relationships to help clients achieve their short- and long-term goals. Daniel is also a keen sportsman and a die-hard Liverpool and Essendon supporter.

Originally from Bairnsdale, Darby moved to Melbourne in 2011 to complete his studies.

Darby joined the Smith Feutrill team in January 2017 after graduating from RMIT in 2016.

Darby is a Chartered Accountant and was promoted to Senior Accountant in August 2020. Since then, he continues to provide his knowledge and expertise to clients.

Darren joined Smith Feutrill in 2024 as an account manager. He brings a wealth of experience in the SME sector and has worked as a financial controller and project accountant, as well as in the retail, manufacturing, and engineering spheres.

After hours, Darren plays night tennis, is a life member of Deepdene Cricket Club and enjoys catching up with family and friends.

Ed joined Smith Feutrill in 2018, bringing his experience from a smaller advisory firm. A Chartered Accountant since 2019, he specialises in the real estate sector, advising SME business owners on mergers, valuations, and tax structuring. Known for his strong client relationships and problem-solving skills, Ed is dedicated to delivering results.

After hours, he enjoys surfing and supporting the Old Trinity Grammarians Football Club.

Elisha is a final-year BA (Hons) student in International Business and Finance at the University of the West of Scotland. With over two years of experience in accounting, including roles at Exel BPO and as a junior assistant accountant, he has built his expertise in financial management and analysis.

Outside work, Elisha is passionate about music, singing and playing guitar.

Ella joined Smith Feutrill in July 2025. She graduated from Ivanhoe Grammar in 2024 and is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University, majoring in accounting.

Away from work, Ella enjoys keeping active through walks and gym sessions, as well as spending quality time with friends.

Ernesto joined Smith Feutrill’s Real Estate Services team in 2015 and holds a Master’s in Accounting and Financial Management from La Trobe University. Currently pursuing the CA program, he is dedicated to furthering his professional development.

Originally from Mexico, Ernesto moved to Australia in 2010, he enjoys playing soccer and is a passionate Real Madrid supporter.

Working as an administration assistant for Smith Feutrill, Gisella has spent the last 15 years working in both accounting and financial planning firms in similar roles.

In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit, having weekend brunches, shopping with her daughter, and watching her son play football.

Gisella hopes to do more travelling with her husband now that her children are older.

Greg has been an integral part of the Smith Feutrill team since 2005. Greg is a qualified CPA and holds a Commerce Degree from Monash University, majoring in Accounting and Finance.

Away from the office, Greg enjoys spending quality time with his three young children and is a lifelong, avid Hawthorn Hawks supporter.

Hamish believes that financial advice is about building strong relationships and guiding his clients to achieve their goals and dreams. He prioritises understanding each client’s lifestyle, needs, and aspirations, then works collaboratively to create strategies for their success.

After hours, he enjoys time with his wife and three daughters, exploring wineries and craft breweries, and staying active with long walks and hikes.

Harry completed his Master of Accounting at Monash University, and the CPA program in 2021.

Currently enrolled in the CA Program, prior to joining the Smith Feutrill team, Harry’s background was in banking.

After hours, he loves playing basketball, soccer, and golf. He also enjoys spending time with his family, especially his young daughter.

Helen is a registered CPA and highly experienced manager with over 20 years in the accounting industry. She has worked with a diverse range of clients, primarily small businesses, and has developed extensive expertise in compliance accounting, taxation, and advisory services.

Helen is dedicated to providing tailored advice and practical solutions to help clients achieve their financial and business goals.

Joining the Smith Feutrill team in 2023, after years of working in the industry before moving into public practice. Irina has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Deakin University and is looking to start her CA soon.

In her spare time, Irina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the great outdoors, and settling down with a good book.

Jackson completed his Bachelor of Business in Accounting at Monash University and is also a Chartered Accountant.

Joining Smith Feutrill in June 2017 he works with a range of clients, especially those with small to medium sized businesses, and is highly experienced in structuring, superannuation, cash flow and succession planning.

He’s also a passionate supporter of the Carlton Football Club.

James thrives on the diversity of financial advising, where no two clients are the same. Dedicated to helping people create a financial path forward, he takes the time to truly understand his clients’ goals through meaningful conversations.

Outside of work, he’s passionate about endurance sports, having completed the Melbourne Ironman, North Face 50km trail run, and Three Peaks 235 km bike ride.

Jed joined the Smith Feutrill team in 2022, while studying for his Bachelor of Commerce, where he was majoring in Accounting at Monash University.

When not at work, Jed loves football, playing for the Old Xaverians and supporting his favourite AFL team… Hawthorn. He is also an avid follower of American sports and enjoys spending time with friends.

Jenny, who is originally from Colombo, Sri Lanka, is a CPA qualified management accountant at Smith Feutrill’s real estate service team.

Now based in Melbourne, she is an enthusiastic NBA fan and a dedicated LeBron James supporter.

Outside of work, Jenny enjoys playing badminton and is always on the lookout for brave doubles partners.

Jermelyn is a Bachelor of Science graduate in Business Administration, majoring in Financial Management.

Prior to joining the Smith Feutrill team in 2022, as a bookkeeper in the real estate team, she worked for a number of international manufacturing companies in the Philippines.

Outside of work, Jermelyn loves to spend her spare time cooking, travelling, and exploring local places.

John is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia who joined Smith Feutrill in 2018. He has a master’s degree of Professional Accounting from Deakin University. Having worked in public practice for over 8 years, John specialises in Income Tax and Business Advisory.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball and supporting the Houston Rockets.

Kathryn joined Smith Feutrill in 2009 as an account manager in the real estate services team. With nine years of experience as a small business owner, she understands the importance of accurate financial information and compliance.

Kathryn has extensive expertise in real estate services, including trust accounting, and is dedicated to providing high-level accounting and compliance services to her clients.

Since joining the team in 2009, Kerry has gained experience working with the lending and wealth management teams, specialising in personal insurance.

She helps her clients secure life, TPD, income protection, and trauma cover, supporting them through their applications and claims processes.

Originally from London, Kerry enjoys spending time with her daughter, and exploring Victoria’s diverse food and wine scene.

Lachlan joined Smith Feutrill in April 2025 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce and Engineering at Monash University.
Outside of work, Lachlan enjoys spending time with his friends, playing football for Old Carey and cricket at his local club.

Linda joined Smith Feutrill in 2010, became a CPA in 2014, and Manager in 2019. Working closely with small to medium-sized family businesses, specialising in tax, accounting, advisory, and cash flow management. With expertise in real estate and property development, Linda values building lasting client relationships.

Fluent in Macedonian, she enjoys the outdoors, camping and hiking, with her family and Huskies.

Linna joined Smith Feutrill as an Account Manager in June 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is currently undertaking the CA qualification. Prior to joining the team, she gained experience in the Tax and Legal team at Deloitte, and worked as a property manager at a boutique real estate firm.

Outside of work, Linna enjoys playing tennis, swimming and spending time with her family.

Originally from Gujarat in India, Masumi brings with her a strong academic background in accounting with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the field. She joined the Real Estate team in June 2025 as an Account Manager.

Outside of work, Masumi is a passionate cricket fan and a former basketball player. She enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending quality time with her family — all of which keep her balanced and inspired in both her personal and professional life.

Matthew joined the Smith Feutrill team in 2022 and is currently studying a double degree of International Business and Business majoring in Accounting, at Melbourne’s Monash University.

Away from work, Matt spends his time playing football for the Old Trinity Grammarians, working on his golf game, and playing basketball with his friends.

Megan has been with Smith Feutrill for many years and is a valued member of the team. She ensures compliance with ever-changing tax, accounting, and payroll regulations, keeping the business running smoothly.

Working part-time allows Megan a great work/life balance. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, travelling, walking, and spending time with friends, family, and her sons.

Michael has been a financial adviser since 2011, with experience in both big banks and smaller businesses. He has run his own business and consulted others, focusing on improving client outcomes through strategic problem-solving.

Michael holds a mathematics degree and a master’s in Applied Finance and Financial Planning.

Outside of work, he enjoys family life and staying active.

Michael, a Chartered Accountant and Registered Tax Agent with three decades of experience, specialises in business and taxation advice for SMEs. His expertise spans music, entertainment, start-ups, and family law matters. He also serves on several boards, including an ASX-listed resources company.

Away from work, Michael supports Collingwood and Balwyn Football Clubs, enjoys surfing, and spending time with his daughters.

Nafees joined Smith Feutrill in January 2025. He is a Pass Finalist in Higher Diploma in Business Finance at the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka, having previously worked as an Audit Supervisor at EY Sri Lanka. He is currently pursuing his CA qualifications. Outside of work, he is a keen sportsman, playing football and cricket as a passion. He is also a die-hard fan of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Additionally, he is skilled in long-distance running and won 1st and 2nd places in short marathons last year, organized by the CA Sri Lanka Student Society.

After working as a legal administration assistant, Molly joined the Smith Feutrill team in August 2019.

Molly juggles work while continuing to study a Bachelor of Business Management at Swinburne University.

In between her work and studies, Molly has always had a passion for travelling and discovering new countries and cultures. she also enjoys playing netball.

Nic graduated from university in 2021 and is at the forefront of the evolving financial advice industry, focusing on adding value rather than selling products.

At Smith Feutrill, he works closely with senior advisers to provide tailored advice that helps clients achieve their financial goals.

Away from the office, Nic enjoys the gym, cycling, socialising, and supporting his beloved Tigers.

Nick joined Smith Feutrill in 2020 as a cadet and completed his Chartered Accountancy in 2023. With degrees in Business Marketing and Accountancy, he works in the Real Estate Services team, focusing on building strong client relationships.

Away from the office, Nick enjoys golfing, playing football for the Old Trinity Grammarians, and supporting Carlton, aka the Blue Baggers.

Nick joined the Smith Feutrill team in 2022, and is currently studying a Commerce degree at Deakin University.

Between juggling work and his studies, Nick is a self-confessed die-hard Essendon supporter and also enjoys playing cricket for the Ivanhoe Cricket Club.

Nicola joined the Smith Feutrill team in 2021 after completing her Bachelor of Commerce/Arts at Monash University.

Working in client services, she focuses on providing exceptional service to clients and supporting the team.
With a strong interest in financial planning, she aspires to become a financial adviser in the future.

Nicola also enjoys dining out, baking, and long walks.

Parami is completing her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, as well as her ACCA – Strategic Professional level. She has experience as an audit trainee at Deloitte Sri Lanka and as an assistant accountant for a Sri Lankan footwear manufacturer.

Parami joined the Smith Feutrill team in 2023 and enjoys listening to music and gardening in her free time.

Pete is a Chartered Accountant and senior manager with more than 30 years of experience in mid-tier accounting firms. He specialises in superannuation, taxation, and salary packaging, and works with a diverse client base, including Australian subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies.

As a passionate Richmond Football Club supporter, Pete enjoys travelling, beach outings, and golfing in his downtime.

With over 17 years in administrative roles within the real estate industry, Rosie understands the critical importance of trust accounting. Her focus is on delivering high-quality account management services to her clients.

Fluent in Croatian and holding a Cert IV in interior design, Rosie enjoys gardening, painting, and spending time with her children, family, and friends outside of work.

Ruth migrated from the Philippines to Australia in 2005 and has been with Smith Feutrill and predecessor firms for over a decade.

Starting as a junior admin assistant, she now serves as an account manager in the real estate team.

Ruth handles various bookkeeping and administrative tasks, providing essential support and assistance to her real estate clients.

Sam brings with him, over 15 years of experience in the finance industry. His career spans equities, funds management, commercial finance, and private banking. Prior to entering broking, Sam served as a Private Banker at ANZ, where he managed a portfolio of some of Australia’s largest Family Offices.

Sam is renowned for building trusted, long-term relationships. He is dedicated to delivering tailored lending and wealth solutions that align with his clients’ personal and business objectives. His deep industry expertise and commitment to service excellence underpin the high level of care and insight he brings to every client engagement.

Sam joined the Smith Feutrill team in 2024 while also continuing his studies in a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting and Finance, at Swinburne University.

In his spare time, Sam pursues his passion for playing soccer, playing for a club in Croydon. He also enjoys watching AFL and proudly supports the West Coast Eagles.

Sarah has over 20 years of experience in senior operational and project management roles across IT, technology, construction, and the public and private sectors. Excelling in overcoming complex challenges by building high-performance teams and implementing best practices.

She is committed to delivering top-tier service with a collaborative, focused approach. After hours, she enjoys card games, travel, and spending time with her family.

Seetha has been a long-serving and valued member of the business support team in client services, working with Smith Feutrill and predecessor firms for 17 years.

Her experience and expertise span across accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Seetha continues to be a valuable support to the administration team and clients.

Shavindya is a second-year Bachelor of Management Studies student, with a specialty in Accountancy and is completing her CA – Business Level 2.

She has experience as an audit trainee at Sri Lanka Telecom and as a digital assistant for a commercial bank in Sri Lanka.

In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, watching cricket and movies, travelling, and reading.

Shontelle recently relocated from New Zealand to Melbourne, bringing her expertise as a senior accountant from KPMG New Zealand, where she worked for over three years. Holding a Bachelor of Business in Accounting, she plans to start her CA soon to further her career path.

Outside of work, she enjoys the gym, baking and spending time with friends.

Stella has been with Smith Feutrill and its predecessor firms since 2002, transitioning from “Director of First Impressions” to a key role in client and accountant support and the corporate secretarial division.

Fluent in Greek, Stella is a busy mum of three, including twins. A passionate football fan, she supports Melbourne Victory, the Socceroos, and Carlton Football Club.

Thulani is a Bachelor of Science undergraduate in Business Studies who joined the Smith Feutrill team in May 2023. With prior experience as a bank intern and working for an auditing firm, she is now completing her first year of the CA program.

Between work and studies, Thulani enjoys travelling, swimming, and spending time with her friends.

Trent spent 15 years at a large financial institution distributing investment, insurance, and platform products to financial advisers. After completing his Master of Financial Planning, he transitioned into private advice.

Trent believes great financial advice goes beyond numbers; it’s about listening, trust, and care.

Outside of work, he enjoys family time, supporting Hawthorn, and walking his dog, Roxy.

As one of our senior accountants, Vivienne is a long- standing and valued member of the team, having spent more than 40 years working for Smith Feutrill and our predecessor firms.

With her knowledge and ability to work across multiple industries, Vivienne continues to share her wealth of experience and expertise with both the Smith Feutrill accounting team and our clients.

Yaron joined Smith Feutrill in 2021 and is a CPA Australia member with a Bachelor of Accounting Science from The University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.

With over nine years in business services, Yaron values the relationships he’s built with colleagues and clients.

Outside work, he enjoys cycling, catching up with friends, reading, and spending time with his family.
